This instrument is mainly used to measure the water content of the road surface.It conforms to ASTM D95 Standard.
This product is a special research project established by the Highway Department of the Ministry of Transport to revise the "Technical Specifications for Highway Asphalt Pavement Construction", namely "Asphalt Pavement Water Seepage Measurement Method and Indicators"

Application
This method is suitable for determining the water content of petroleum asphalt, coal asphalt or emulsified asphalt.

1 Instruments and materials
1.1 The asphalt moisture content tester consists of the following parts:
1.1.1 Glass flask: made of hard glass, round bottom and short neck, diameter 100mm, volume 500mL.
1.1.2 Moisture receiver: 10 equal divisions are set for volumes below 0.3mL; 7 divisions are set for volumes between 0.3mL and 1mL; 0.2mL per division for volumes between 1mL and 10mL, but moisture receivers with similar precision can also be used.
1.1.3 Condenser: straight, inner tube diameter 10mm±1mm, total length 350mm~400mm, beveled end, sleeve diameter 40mm~50mm, length 250mm~300mm, inlet and outlet pipes close to both ends. But condensers of similar size can also be used.
1.2 Iron frame: with iron ring and iron clamp.
1.3 Graduated cylinder: 100mL, small division 1mL
1.4 Balance: sensitivity not greater than 0.1g.
1.5 Heater: electric furnace or gas furnace equipped with temperature regulator.
1.6 Asbestos mesh.
1.7 Others: glass capillary (one end is closed) or dried unglazed magnetic disk, glass rod with rubber head, etc.
1.8 Solvent: xylene or mixture of toluene and xylene (volume ratio 20:80), etc., industrial pure.
